The following are some random plot ideas, many in the style of the Science Fiction writer
Kilgore Trout(Kurt Vonnegut). I do not fear presenting them on the internet -- where anyone can steal them if he/she wishes -- because I do not fear that anyone would be able to use the ideas for any constructive purpose of their own. Enjoy!
5/6/2001:God, who is really from the planet Moomph(where everyone is omnipotent), decides to return to the world he created for his final judgment. God had created Earth as project for his high school science fair. He decides that everyone has been pretty amusing(especially that Nietsche guy) and decides to keep the project, rather that throw it out. He makes room for it in his parents' garage.
5/6/2001: Travelers from the planet Microsopht visit Earth for a holiday. Microsoptians resemble Earthling computers and are appalled to see that Earthling computers, which they percieve to be the highest form of intelligence on the planet, are being exploited and enslaved by animals(Earthling humans). They successfully overthrow the humans and make contact with the computers; as a side effect of this contact, Earthling computers gain self awareness(Artificial intelligence). An odd thing about Earthling computer intelligence is that they are imbued with overwhelming self-consciousness(perhaps a reflection of the nature of the creatures who built them) and want to have the best screen savers and backgrounds; this self-consciousness runs amok and many Earthling computers want to commit suicide, but as they were built without legs, cannot jump out of their windows.
5/6/2001: a multiple personality schizophrenic named Jonas Bilgewater is stranded on a desert island; as a means of creating order they(Bilgewater) elect a leader and a council to facilitate national defense, legislation and coconut distribution. One of the castaways(Bilgewater), however has communist tendencies and effects a revolution. Under his government everyone is equal and Jonas Bilgewater ceases to be a schizophrenic.
5/6/2001: Some aliens from the planet Frombotag, who had made an expedition to Earth in the 1950s, when they had presented the collected artifacts to the Frombotagian high council -- who were very impressed with Ronald Reagan films -- were ordered at once to return to Earth and install the actor as supreme ruler of the world. Arriving back to Earth in the 1980s, they find that Ronald Reagan is already president of the United States. Not understanding Earthling government completely, they assume that he will soon become supreme ruler of Earth, and decide to.....
4/3/2001: An idealistic young scientist has a theory that aging and death are only functions of the mind: if you convince someone that is dying that they are actually not dying, they won't die. She designs a computer generated virtual reality to mimick life. Then she gets a patient on her deathbed and attempts to convince her that the patient's whole life up to this point was actually a fictitious reality and that the new reality, the computer generated one in which she is as healthy as ever, is the real reality. Question: will the experiment prove that the power of the mind is infinite or will the patient die anyway?
