I began learning web design in 2000, page by painstaking page, using HTML and subsequently PHP. My very first website marketed me as a tutor for math, writing, and music, and I was tickled pink when I attracted a few students. Through the years, I picked up the basics of Flash animation, MySQL databases, Javascript, and RSS syndication.

I mostly use Drupal now, an open-source web content managing system, and focus my energy and attention on effective web writing.
